Then, take the on-line quiz to test your understanding of the material. The on-line quiz MUST be submitted before you begin your classes at Kukulcan. The material was developed to help you make a successful cultural adjustment before you come to Mexico and during your stay here. Much of it is aimed at traditional-aged, undergraduate US-American university students, but it contains information that is useful for everyone. The online orientation concentrates on Mexican culture, and highlights the skills, attitudes, and behaviors that will guarantee that your study abroad experience at Kukulcan is a positive one. We will also talk about the concept of culture in general and how it impacts on your ability to understand and function in a new and unfamiliar environment. It is not a substitute for your University program orientation. When preparing to go abroad, you should take advantage of all study abroad meetings and attend as many orientation briefings as you can. Questions and issues related to university policies, financial aid, credit toward graduation and other matters dealing with the university’s internal administration should be discussed with your program director. We guarantee that knowing the material in this online orientation will prove immediately useful. In fact, you will be able to apply some of this advice from your very first day in Mexico. This exam is used to help us recommend the appropriate course level and design the best possible immersion learning experience for you. Relax and do your best. Don't panic if you can't remember something you learned in the past. Don't "look-up" the answers. There isn't a prize or gold star for completing as many questions as possible. The idea is to clarify what you know "well" and start re-learning or learning at the appropriate level.
